Val is fueled by a drive to constantly make (plus a dash of strong coffee). She’s a well-rounded artist that has experience in multiple design disciplines. It was her role as a fashion product designer for baby gear, though, that sparked her love for repeat patterns and textiles. Her favorite kind of prints are clever and hand-drawn. They usually incorporate a little bit of wobble and spontaneity, and she considers it a success if it makes you smile.
Val works from her 105-year-old, Swiss Chalet style house near Dayton, OH. She adores her family, pugs, houseplants, cloudy days, Disney World, and walks to the closest coffee shop. She would choose The Beatles over the Stones, dogs over cats, and autumn over any other time of year.
